Backyard turf, retaining wall and steps
A bare, muddy backyard excavated and rebuilt with a block retaining wall, concrete steps, artificial turf and new planting beds.
Block, stone and poured concrete walls that hold grades and add usable space.
Retaining walls do real structural work on Metro Vancouver’s sloped lots. We design for drainage first, then build in concrete block, natural stone or poured concrete, with proper footings, backfill and weep drainage so the wall stays straight for decades.

Worn, cracked slate steps stripped and refinished in dark stone with contrasting nosing for grip.

Most municipalities require a permit and an engineer’s design above a certain height, often 1.2 m. We tell you up front if your wall falls into that range.
Sometimes. If the footing and drainage have failed, a rebuild is usually the better investment, and we will say so.
Tell us a little about the project and we will get back to you within one business day to arrange a site visit. Prefer to talk? Call (778) 323-2508.
